pookah
From Radakan
Pookahs are common livestock animals frequently found amongst most species. The pookahbird is a small feathered creature that runs around on two legs. Resembling a fowl, it has a small beak, two eyes and a pair of wings that are unable to achieve much altitude. A pookah will only cluck in the day. At night they make a strange croaking noise. Their feathers are normally black and brown, although white feathered pookahs are rumored to exist.
Common uses for a pookah are pillows made from its feathers, the meat from its carcass and the eggs that it lays.
It has been said that a pookah can communicate with spirits, and the strange croaking sound they emit after nightfall is the language of the tortured souls of Radakan.
